HEALTH CARE
INFORMATION
As an important part of our commitment to caring for your pets, we use the Health Care Manager Program to provide you with a one page summary of our recommendations for maintaining your pets' health in the best possible condition.
With every Wellness Examination for your pet (vaccinations, heartworm injections, rechecks for redispensing medications) we will:
# Schedule a 20 minute consultation with a Veterinarian and a dedicated Veterinary
Nurse
# Conduct a 12 body system veterinary checkup
# Check and record your pet's heart rate, respiratory rate, capillary refill time,
mucous membrane colour, temperature, dental score and weight score
# Recommend any testing appropriate for your pet, such as blood, faecal or urine
tests
# Advise you of the appropriate measures for flea & tick control, worming,
nutrition,training, weight control etc
# Provide you with a Health Care Report detailing the wellness procedures
which have been done on the day of consultation or previously, and showing
when any other procedures are due
# Certificates with a colour photo of your pet will be given for vaccinations
# A Breed Form will be given to new puppies on request. This form outlines any
problems to look out for in your puppy's particular breed
With every Illness Examination we will:
# Schedule a 20 minute consultation with a Veterinarian and dedicated Veterinary
# Provide you with information about any conditions your pet has
# Conduct a free recheck of your pet's current condition if required to ensure that
the treatment is going as we would like (please note that there may be charges for
tests or medications at this recheck).
After certain surgeries (eg desexing, dentals, cruciate surgeries) we will issue you with a Surgical Report, with information on the procedure performed, any medications dispensed and homecare instructions
